Real Estate Brokerage Litigation

At Schecter Law, we routinely represent clients concerning all aspects of real estate brokerage law. In fact, the founder of Schecter Law, Mark Schecter, is a licensed Real Estate Broker. Our focus at Schecter Law is to represent brokers and non brokers alike in connection with disputes concerning real estate brokers. These disputes would include whether or not a real estate broker is entitled to a commission, and if so, under what terms and conditions. Quite often, this determination is focused on whether or not there is a contract which sets forth the rights, duties and liabilities of the parties. If not, a determination is made whether or not a broker is a procuring cause, such as to entitle that broker to a commission.

We at Schecter Law regularly counsel our clients to place all commission issues in writing so as to effectively set forth their benefits, duties, and responsibilities.

Schecter Law’s real estate brokerage litigation matters include:

  • Is a broker entitled to a commission?
  • Is a broker a procuring cause?
  • Has the broker fulfilled their fiduciary responsibilities and obligations to the principal?
We at Schecter Law are proud that we have been recognized with the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell. What makes this highest rating even more significant is that it is voted upon by our peers.
